When Dr. Nicholas opened Smileland Dental in 2018, his goal was simple: a Petaling Jaya clinic where every patient sees the same dentist, every time, with enough time to actually listen. No associates. No upselling. No rushed 15-minute appointments.
Eight years later, that philosophy still shapes everything — from how the waiting room is arranged, to how the schedule is built, to how long each consultation runs. Patients travel from Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Subang and Cheras for what our regulars call "the dentist they actually look forward to."

Dr. Nicholas graduated from Manipal University (MMMC) and completed his compulsory government service at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, attached to the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry departments. This is where his calm, gentle chairside manner with even the most nervous patients was first honed.
He completed a 2-year residency in the Master Class of Beethoven's Orthodontics under Dr. Chris Chang (Taiwan), and continues to attend local and international dental conferences to stay at the forefront of modern techniques — particularly in aesthetic and implant dentistry.
